long live ziggy stardust complexes! i’ve been learning my way through the ziggy LP on ukulele, and am about to start learning Starman properly. i’m premiering ‘five years’ live (lead singing? faux-fronting my best friends from army of toys/Jaggery) tomorrow night when i’m burlesque poetess hostess for an evening at » The Lilypad. +here’s the » show flyer, too. oh, please let my Bowie-face painting booth go over well— John I’m only Dancing video- eye anchors, Ziggy orbs, Aladdin lightning bolts! and moar. i owe so much of my performative/developmental aesthete glam ways to this man. listened to the ziggy farewell concert anniversary double CD at workwork to-day to inspire me. i hope i do him justice with my silliness. (the eve may even include me doing my first orig tune, gulp. luckily i’m a comedienne, so i can play it off if it’s…horrendous?)
